Kinder words...

Kinder Words...

You never know where a person is along their journey unless they share that position with you...

Oftentimes, on the right day, at the right time a kind word has the potential to re-route a person's entire direction... Where they may have been feeling down, they are now uplifted... Where they may have been hopeless, they now are hopeful... where they may have been sad, although they might not be happy, they may just feel a little better...

At the same time, harsh words can really destroy a person...even kill them, in spirit... And it doesn't always have to be the words that were said, but, rather, the tone in which they were said... To add to that is the whole notion of little jabs and digs that are shared behind a person's back... Those little comments that individuals say in passing, that seem so meaningless, that make their way back to the individual...

You have no idea how discouraging harsh words and harsh comments can be...a person may be recovering and on their way back up from a major blow, and a harsh word may be what knocks them out for the count...

Words carry lifelong power in them...and it's like they're hung around the neck of each individual, as either a badge of honor, or a heavy burden...

I personally have held onto so many things that were said to me and about me over the years... Things that ring in my ears until this very day... Things that questioned my ability, my womanhood, my motherhood, my intelligence, my choices, my beauty...opinions versus facts...truths versus lies... some things may have been of mal-intent, while others may have just been in jest...

I'm releasing all of those things today... That's it... Just going to release them and be free from them... No longer angry...

And the growth of it is that I'm no longer pained...

I'm good today...

As we enter this new week let's try to make a conscious effort to use Kinder Words... Words are like seeds planted into the spirits of every man, woman and child...

What seeds are you planting about yourself?

And what seeds are you planting about others?

I must admit, I was hesitant to create a blog site, for fear that it would lessen my creditibility as a writer...  Let's be honest, there are blogs everywhere, written by any and everyone...  While I myself enjoy reading and following a number of bloggists across all genres of content...
